Music & whether.

@ this point of time, in the current scenarios of industry, the answer isn't quite the solution everyone is looking for. Double headed tail where strategists coincide with the dilemmas of careful constructing without a fundamental ground zero solution & clarity, basically just repeating ourselves hoping for a different result. Practitioner number one is the 'I' in us. We roleplay all day, but split when the kettle is boiling. That's alright, that's mankind's condition. What you'd want to see is that when its time to report something to your superiors, you'd hope that your journey wasn't in vain. Progress is a slow process but its been ages since you did something different. You add skill sets to your giftings, hone your art, better your craft but fail to the most fundamental part of why you do what it is that you do. It is called service. You might benefit from it but the primary focus must be something far 'greater than yourself'. It is to this blindness that causes issues in your home, your social functions, your workplaces, & ultimitately your city & community. Cliche sayings, but it is to utmost importance that blindfolds need to come off to release yourself from modern day scenarios. Depression, suicide, divorce, crime, drug abuse, alcoholism, sexual immorality, etc. Everything there is to be grasped ends to these things atleast to a small degree. The basic elements to a truely successful life misses the root causes of these things so if it happens to the best of them, it can bite you too. Life is beautiful like how its portrayed, but it hasn't been for a lot of people who are torn by these things. So what are we really doing? Does it start & end @ bottom figure scenarios where the wind bangs & we're forced to just man up? & get so far lost in daily agendas that didn't work yesterday? Bono has a lot to say, but what is truly remarkable about him is not only what he holds on to, but that also his passion for everything he stands for is still as strong as ever. What we fail to do, is that we get so caught up in our efforts to be that much better that we miss our initial sparks of the real business of life. & end up falling into the same category like the people dying in the news as if Christ needed to come back & re-lay down His Life once more. Though if He did comeback as He truly is, would you be prepared knowing how you & the rest of the world has been functioning. I am not religious but I know godly-sorrow & holy fear. There is a difference between knowing what you know & living as if you don't.

What the technology surge means to the creative.

You've heard it before but it doesn't mean we all get the final picture. For the creative arts industry & record business, technology advancement has dictated our attitudes to our craft & what limits we put on our practice/s. For the artist, its been a great step up in terms of access to recording technologies not needing to much more than a soundcard & a computer. But, what it meant for the business is an out-pour of recorded works that diminished in demand strictly due to volume. Hence, the lack of what the current demand is also dictated the worth of even the best of artists in the recording industry that led to under-valued price tags just so streaming platforms can get their feed. That's ok with me for I have only really knew how to get by doing my own thing. But to the greats, its big business lost. & now, we all have grown to accept it. & it breaks 'fairness & due credit' where its due & really sad to have functioned on the dragon&

Assess your fears & redirect the course of your life.

The business of doing & simple daily practices that enhances productivity.

What's productivity? How do you define its measure? How do you view it based on your priorities? What decides where you put your focus, time & energies on? These questions are what we most often quietly ask ourselves in our subconscious though often times, due to debris, fail to hear our most distinct voices as we are choked by the things & concerns of this world. My field of interest (sometimes a little obsessive, which is ok), being the general creative industries, specifically in music, its very difficult to see things as they appear & personally, I pray everyday to gain clarity within it all as a daily creative. We are in the age of free media, & for the musician, that's generally not what we want. Its not reasonable to pursue the record industry due to exhausted business models caused by the internet. On the other hand, its the most important thing in my life, though however questionable. Not because there's no income from it, but just because of the bu
